Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP)

With a population of 1.2 million people, Manitoba is a peaceful prairie province. Manitoba has numerous provincial parks and beautiful lakes that make it a wonderful place to live. It’s largest city, Winnipeg, has around 700,000 occupants and is one of Canada’s larger urban centers.

Streams and Categories
Listed below are the preliminary requirements for each of the MPNP programs. If you fit into any one of the following categories you could be eligible for a permanent residence visa. For more information, take a look at the MPNP website or Contact Us
General Stream
  • you have a relative in Manitoba who is willing to support you
  • you have two friends or distant relatives in Manitoba willing to support you
  • you have completed education in Manitoba
  • you have previous work experience in Manitoba (six months minimum)


  • Family Support
  • You have a family member in Manitoba who is willing to sponsor you

  • International Student (you must meet all of the following criteria)
  • You have or will complete a post-secondary degree in Manitoba (at least 8 months)
  • You are currently working for a Manitoba employer that offered you a job and have been working there for at least six months
  • You have been offered a full-time position in Manitoba

  • Employer Direct
  • You have an offer of a long-term, full-time job in Manitoba
  • You have been (and still are) working for the Manitoba employer for at least 6 months with a work permit issued by CIC

  • Strategic Initiatives
  • You have been invited to apply for MPNP by an MPNP officer

  • You are an entrepreneur and would like to start a business or purchase or become partners in a business in Manitoba

    You are a farmer and am willing to purchase or become partners in a farm in Manitoba
