Requirements for immigration to Canada

Canadian immigration requirements vary depending on whether you are applying under the points system, as the spouse or partner of a Canadian citizen or permanent resident (following marriage or a common-law relationship), as a close family member, in the live-in caregiver category as a nanny, or on any other basis.

Assessment of applications

Any prospective immigrant interested in moving to Canada must have their application assessed by a visa officer. Our site contains a free online Canadian immigration assessment, a Canada immigration forum, news, and information about job search and immigration.

Family class applications and immigration appeals

In situations where you are sponsored for immigration by a sponsor who is your spouse, partner, daughter, son or other eligible family member we can also assist you if your application is refused and you wish to appeal. Similarly, after immigrating to Canada, you will obtain a permanent resident card entitling you to live in Canada, and we can advise you how to retain this status and can assist with an appeal of the residency obligation if this is necessary.

The vast majority of our clients, however, succeed with their immigration application and settle in Canada.
